There is a good way to do this, not sure about cost though. There are now a couple of different brands of “Spray on Liner”, this is a liquid spray or paint on rubber that will stick to anything and is very tough and fish safe. The last time (a few years ago) I checked the distributors weren’t very friendly to selling small quantities to do it yourselfers, they wanted to do large jobs and charge for services.
