[Worldwide Koi Club] Newbie.. in OKLAHOMA needing some help
Sounds like they are spawning. This time of year is when they do it by chasing each other around. If so it is perfectly normal. You need to put some soft spawning material into the pool so they won’t injure themselves scraping against hard surfaces. Old mop heads dangling from the surface work well (be sure they contain no chemicals), but plenty of dense vegetation at the pond edges is the natural spawning material.
If all goes well you will have plenty of little babies soon.
