Hi Serena, If you have an in-pond pump that is oil filled (oil filled for cooling), it’s most likely your pump is leaking oil into the pond. If the pump is one of the newer model being sold, the oil should not be toxic to the fish, … IF you get it cleaned out ASAP. Be sure to thoroughly scrub down your pond liner and clean your filter again before refilling the pond. If you’re going to use in-pond pumps, it’s best to be sure the pump is a water cooled model (not oil filled). It would be better if you can install an out-of-pond pump in your pond. Hope this helps.
