[Worldwide Koi Club] New pond ph problem
Thanks, Dennis. Wow, muriatic acid sounds like a drastic step. According to others who have replied to my post, goldfish and Koi do well up to ph of 9.0. So I guess I’ll keep an eye on the fish. Right now, except for their tendency to hide all the time, they seem to be fine. They aren’t eating much yet, but are starting to eat. I have a small feeding ring and put floating granules (only a few at a time) in it. The food seems to disappear before it sinks and I have seen one of the goldfish eating from the ring. So, for the time being, all is well.
