[Worldwide Koi Club] green water

I have heard many mixed feelings on UV’s.  I think the biggest factor on there effectiveness is the size of the UV compared to the size and flow of the pond.  The same goes for the barley hay some swear by it other claim it is worthless.    Stagment water is also great for producing algea.  Most manufacturer data reccommends a turn of your water every 2 hours however I prefer a turn every 1/2 hour.   In my past experience of building ponds I never ran into qan algea problem like I have in 4 customer as well as my own pond in the past.  It hit about a week ago with the heavey rains and the rains are just continuing.  I have two customers that you could say lost there ponds do to they being burried under high local water runoff.  I hate to see what these ponds will look like when the yards dry up.   Noter last weekend we had 11 inches of rain my pH went from 8.4 friday  down to 6.7 on monday.  With adding Calcium I got it back up to 8.0 last night but then we got another 4″ of rain and it dropped again to 7.1 this morning.  Prediction is heavey rain next three nights.   Dennis ..
