[Worldwide Koi Club] DO NOT PUT GOLDFISH OR KOI INTO THE LAKE
Edgar, Ya know what, …. I certainly don’t agree with your assumption that koi and goldfish should never be placed in a tank or bowl. I have a seven year old grand son and nine year old grand daughter that have both koi and goldfish in an aquarium in their home. I’d be willing to bet that those two youngsters have a better understanding about their fish and how to care for them properly than a large number of members of the koi, goldfish and pond keeping groups I belong to. They are both extremely knowledgeable about raising koi and goldfish. They also know how to set up a good filtration system (mechanical and biofiltration), and how to monitor ands maintain correct, optimal water parameters for the fish the pond I built for them.
I think most of us know how laws come into being. Whether the initiatives that are drafted, … voted on, … and passed into law are good or bad laws should make no difference on whether someone obeys them or not. Breaking a law simply because someone doesn’t feel it’s a good law doesn’t make a lot of common sense. It sure as heck wouldn’t be much of a country if EVERYONE who feels they don’t like a particular law decided they had the right to break the laws they didn’t agree with.
