[Worldwide Koi Club] Black Koi
The black Koi may be fairly common for those that breed them. However in all the wholesale listings I have only once seen black koi listed. In that case it was black butterfly koi. Yes there is old Japaneese saying that a black Koiu will give good luck to your pond and that every pond should have at least one black koi. If you have a Japenesse design and stock your pond they will insist you have at least one black Koi. However I do not beieve in black magic either. I do have one black butterfly koi in my pond. However all the other koi in my pond are Tancho which I look on as a sign that these Koi are part of Japaneese culture. Dennis
