Why won’t my sword tails breed?
hi, I never had alot of issues in the past, they seem to prefer same variety mates though. swords, platys, mollies are usually pretty easy to get them to breed, usually harder to get them to not overpopulate the tank! I had a post on here trying to ID my male sword, I had a pic posted in the photo section. not sure if he is a neon, pineapple or a candy cane? any help would be appreciated. I have been to a number of sites online and it seems as those are common names for the same fish? I have recently gotten back into keeping an aquarium. had five going about 15 yrs ago. The real problem with swordtails is keeping them from jumping out! just curious, how populated is your tank? if you have many fish, sometimes they get stressed and won’t breed.
