What are these wild fish? I made an error in a previous post


When I was able to open the link to the pictures I see those fish do not appear to be Gambusia. Gambusia have rounded tails like wild guppies. The fish in those pictures have forked tails and appear to be some kind of minnow. They are probably native fish. Gambusia have probably been introduced often by aquarists but they are more commonly used by governmental agencies in misguided attempts to control mosquitoes. They crowd out the existing fish and often increase mosquito populations rather than decreasing them.
