Okay, it sounded like you were saying don’t worry about the acclimation in the cups at all. Now I understand what you mean and yes, I would intro them to the tank as soon as that was done.
If you have read that its totally acceptable to do complete water > changes on any fish, regardless of the size of the container (even > half-gallon or less), except in extreme cases when absolutely > necessary (as in transferring a fish to a hospital tank for > treatment), you have been reading the WRONG literature!
Then almost everything out there is wrong… and I’m not surprised by that. LOL. I need a good, reliable book (I’ve read too many to list and they all talk about small tanks *needing* complete water changes). Any suggestions?
