Water prime problem

Lenny-
You know how these Canadians are - first he viciously attacks you - even if you did deserve it - and now he’s after me. Did you read his post? “Bill was right….” Like this is unusual or something?
And has he tried his “thingee” yet?
Roy, I do hope that you are not from Quebec. Here we are being nice to you and everything…….
Please attach the thingee to your hose and stick it into the discharge and see what happens. The best way to seal your basket strainer lid is the factory way. One proper gasket. Period. Try the thingee ….
Also, try this: Prime the basket, take a piece of saran wrap type plastic and loosely drape it over the basket strainer pot. Then put a rubber band around it - but leave it loose on top, not tight. Turn on the pump and watch it. If you have a suction leak from the top of the strainer pot, it should suck the saran wrap tightly to the pot.
:-)
