water chem question
how offten and how much should i change (my tank is 55 gallons)? will the pH go up when it cycles? i called the water and sewer department here were i live and they told me our water is “very soft”. i think he said the KH is less than 16ppm.

Regardless of the cause, chemistry is always a little wacky at the start of an aquarium. I suggest you do some frequent large water changes and see if the chemistry becomes stable in the next week or so.
