[UniQuaria] Water change = dying fish
I visited a lot of fish shops before I found the one I like. The guy is always happy to give me advice and never actually tries to sell anything unless I ask for it - a good few times now I’ve gone into the store, chatted, and left empty handed. He seems to know what he’s talking about so I’m happy to drive across town to visit his shop rather than the local which is just 10 minutes down the road.
Regardless, I don’t think I was sold a bad fish. I’ve had the fish for a few months now and they’ve been healthy right up until this latest PWC (using tap water). I talked to a friend who also has fish which started dying just after doing a PWC using tap water. The lady that the fish shop owner was telling me about had kept her goldfish healthy for 8 years, and all of a sudden he got very sick, just after doing a PWC with local tap water. I’m pretty sure there’s something bad in our water supply.
Cheers, Daniel
