You may want to check into fish clubs in your area. Another hobbyist may be interested. If no luck, you could post in some of the Sale/Trade forums of some of the online fish websites, especially those geared to catfish. Aquabid is another option.
There is probably someone out there who would want him.
It’s very odd that a SA catfish ended up in a shipment with African cichlids.
