[UniQuaria] tank readings on testing
You have five goldfish and two algae eaters in a 10 gallon? Besides the obvious overcrowding issue, algae eaters are known to hurt goldfish.

Hi all ,
I added two algae eaters to my ten gallon tank the other day.. ok despite the overcrowding issue, I tested my tank’s water parameters. Ammonia: 0 ppm, Nitrite: 0 ppm, Nitrate:0 ppm.. thats right 0 ppm… The PH is around 7.4 I will re test the nitrates though I find it odd that they havve dropped all the way to zero… if it did indeed.. this is a freshwater tank.. 5 goldfish, 2 algae eaters. the goldfish are the commons and comet variety…
