Koi Fish Information Centre

New tank is cycled (5 Zebra Danios, plants and filter from an established tank - took 10 days) and I bought 6 Badis Badis last evening. They were really too young/small to sex, for the most part, but I am fairly certain I have at least one male.Abut an hour after putting them in the tank he had a beautiful red edge to his fins and body was darker.
Chameleon fish is a perfect name for these guys. One moment they are very light, no markings, the next they might have horizontal stripes and the next vertical banding.
I also read they are picky eaters but mine took frozen brine shrimp eagerly this morning.
The LFS has a tank full of gorgeous Neon Dwarf Rainbows and tons of Pygmy Corys, so one of those will be the next addition. Lianne should be moving soon and I’ll be able to get my Licorice Gouramis out of her tank. (can’t begin to try to catch them now!)
