[UniQuaria] Returning to the hobby - Intro

The natural, no-tech approach was a lot of fun. Challenging to learn and get it right, but loads of fun. That’s the reason I’m more than tempted to go that route and most likely will with at least part of my new tanks. The biggest challenge, actually, is getting just the right plants to minimize pruning duties. :-)
“Axies” are axolotls. Members of the salamander/newt family that maintain gills throughout their lives, so they stay aquatic all their lives. A friend has recently corraled me into these guys. My first ones should be arriving soon. Here’s a link for anyone who would like to see and learn more about them:

I haven’t done these guys before, so a new challenge on the horizon. I’m still working up my “wish list” for plants, fish and inverts for my other not-yet-acquired tanks (axies can’t have tankmates), then I’ll break them into separate hypothetical tanks for the next step of planning. Too much fun! LOL
