[UniQuaria] Removing protein film from surface
On the occasion that happens (generally coincides with feeding flaked food), I just use a little cup and scoop it out. If you allow the water to slowly be pulled into the cup, it skims the surface and leave the rest of the water alone. 
Works great in tanks that don’t have filters on them; like established planted tanks in my case.
