[UniQuaria] Removing protein film from surface
I have 2 tricks for this: 1) I use a length of airline tubing. I start siphoning water from the tank, holding the tip of tube just under the water’s surface. Then, tip the end of the tube just a bit out of the water. The film can be siphoned from the top of the water
2) Take one square of Bounty paper towel. Drop if onto the water surface and drag it over the filmy. The towel picks up the ’stuff’ floatng on the surface.
It usually takes more than one square. With some practice you can pull the towel from one end of the tank to the other and right up the glass. Joanna, LMD Tropical Kansas
