Yes, aside from the bucket sloshing water about, it is a good method. I suppose it won’t be too rough of a ride for 5 minutes and it will probably be fine.
Now on another topic you are probably going to hear a lot people posting about keeping goldfish in a ten gallon tank(if I read your post correctly).
A single common goldfish will need a?very large tank in a very short period of time. Like right now.
There are many different fish that can be kept in a 10 gallon tank.
How many goldfish do you have and what is their length? Are they common or fancy like Orandas or lion heads?

Is it a good method of moving my goldfish by placing them in a bucket of their tank water? I will be moving intown and only about 5 minutes driving distance.. I would really appreciate it..
