[UniQuaria] Java Moss

I just bought some Java Moss from the Uni-Q that was selling it - he popped it into a zip lock baggie. It was nicely damp but not wet/dripping. The bag went into postal mailing bag for express mail.
Some people like to wrap plants in wet black and white newspaper before sealing the greenery in plastic bags.
I was delighted with the chance to buy nice, healthy, tank raised Java Moss.
He warned me the plants might contain snails or snail eggs. At my house, snails are snacks for my SE Asian fish and welcome to visit. :-)
He also warned me to rinse the Java Moss in tap water. That is a good idea. I happened to have some gallon jars - like the sun tea jars you see at Walmarts - so I dropped the plants in one of these. I siphoned some water from a healthy tank and poured some tap water in as well.
This way the Java Moss can be pryed apart until it spreads out into ‘green floatng clouds’
We encourage the giving, trading and selling of plants, fish, shirmp, snails and so on.
GO FOR IT
