[UniQuaria] Feeder guppies

I look for shipments of feeder Guppies in local stores. Sometimes all the fish look pretty bad.
Sometimes the fish look pretty healthy. If I buy a dozen - I hope to keep a few alive (yes, in maximum quarantine, mabye in the garage) and set them up outdoors.
And, I find that people trade home grown Guppies to local shops - a good way to pick up some healthier Guppies for outdoor ranching.
I also find feeder Guppy shipments that contain Platies showing a faint ice tea color. I really like these fish and a good dozen will go home with me. Gambusia show up in feeder fish shipments, too. The males of this species shows no color - your first clue that something different has arrived.
The flat black tubs found in hardware stores for ‘many uses’ have worked so well for me in the past. I keep them on a shady patio to keep them for getting too hot. The Gups quickly become quite friendly with people who feed them :-)
