[UniQuaria] Feeder guppies

The store  probably doesn’t show the feeder guppies at least partly because the death rate is probably pretty high. No customer wants to see dead fish in a tank, especially if there are several  in the same tank. On the other hand, it is important to know they have a high death rate as that will affect your decision whether to buy.

Like you, I have come close to buying feeder guppies, my reasons being to rescue them from an Oscar’s lunch menu and also to allow their simpler beauty to show through. But I haven’t done it because of that worry about disease and similar problems. I do miss the plainer but still lovely guppies which were the norm when I was a young girl and shopped for fish in the dime store. I’m feeling nostalgic now.

See you later,
Beverly

Peace, please!

Regular guppies may be the way to go. I don’t even get to see the feeder
fish. They are kept in the back of the store where only employees are
allowed to go. So I can’t even look at them to see if they are healthy or
how they are cared for. :-/ Regular guppies are, of course, right out
front for all the world to see.

Thanks for the tips!
