You need a Python waterchanger. For the buildup, it is probably calcium. Do you have hard water? Try tea. I use it straight from the tea jar, I just let it warm to room temperature, and wipe it on. It may have to set a couple of minutes if it is really built up. It also works on some algae. Nadine
