[UniQuaria] air pumps
The only reason I would by an airpump is to run air driven sponge filters in fry tanks or for under gravel filters. Surface water movement oxygenated water many times more than an airpump. So Unless you have the above requirements or fancy silly (I personally find it silly but some may not so please I meant no offence) airstones or ornaments or bubble walls that need an airpump, I would not waste money on them.

hi all,
how nessesary are air pumps if you have filters that constatntly keep the top of the water in the tank moving??? do they do anything other then help oxigenate the water?
