Turning On The Light?
Hmmm… Can’t really answer your questions, but I’ve got a few of my own to add…
I keep spare water and extra plants in a 5-gallon (I’ve found it works better to “age” tap water than to add water conditioner) with a blue aquarium-specific light, standard light bulb socket. Not sure that’s the best light to use (???), but it works for me. In the real tank, I use a 2 foot plant growth flourescent light. I’m pretty sure this is NOT the best way to light my tank, but again, it works for me.
So I suppose the real question I’m adding to yours, Bill, is “Can we start a thread on good aquarium lighting?” I sure can use ANY info on this topic…
