sometimes listless goldfish
Any goldfish experts? Have a tank, all tests come out good, regular water changes. Other goldfish are fine. One sits on the bottom some of the time, swims normally the rest of the time. No physical signs of distress, no swimming abnormally, no swollen belly, sometimes flashes. Can’t see any parasites or fungus. So I did a ‘progressive salt treatment’ for three days, using the water from him normal tank in the hospital tank. He perked up and I didn’t feed him either, not knowing if it is a digestion problem or a parasite/fungus issue. So today, I put him back in his regular home. For the first five minutes, all was very exciting, he nipped at the females (he has tubercles right now) and all seemed well. I didn’t feed them, I just watched. Five more minutes, he is back at the bottom. I don’t know what to do with the poor fellow, I would hate to loose him after two years of admiring his beauty! Any suggestions?
