Lenny said…Well.. sell this customer a more frequent maintenance program……. yes that is exactly what I want to do but……not for the place I work for….I want to start my own pond maintenance…I have been working for the past 3 years ( best pond cleaner they ever had) and started at $7 an hr….and $.44 a mile…got a $.25 raise after 6 months and $.50 a mile and I’m still making the same….and almost 2&1/2 yrs have passed. I will be 56 next month and my boss hired a guy half my age and started him at $8 an hr telling me that he works harder than I do…I do a lot of heavy lifting with some of the filter boxes and I work in the hot Florida sun….so needless to say I think he is a male chauvinist? piggy…..his sister in law works for him too and she makes the same as me…she is 66 and she works hard every day while the manager sits in the air conditioning and orders us around….he also dropped my hours so it’s time for me to go….i will be taking at least 1/2 his customers with me cause they like me……oops….sorry to vent here about me job….oh yeah, the guy gets a paid vacation and we don’t…….bs…..thanks for listening to my rant….I won’t do it again……………………maree
