[AquaticLife] Need betta advice

Well I just got informed tonight that the loaches that I’m buying don’t currently seem to eat algae (either they haven’t started or it wasn’t around where they’ve been living in the wild). so I may not even have to make an algae tank unless I get more of the other kinds […]

[AquaticLife] Need betta advice

Yeah my betta is sensitive at cleaning times too, even in the 10 gallon tank he’s in (it’s a castle compared to what he used to be in at the LFS). it does have a filter in it (one of the 10 gallon kits from walmart with a HOB filter), and it’s […]

[AquaticLife] Need betta advice

I did it several times when in the bowl… The trick was to have the water the same temp. I would put the bucket of new water on the desk beside the bowl the day before. The next day it was the same temp. as the bowl, and I would dump thru […]

Snail snafu

I have lost a number of adult mystery snails to the intake filter. I have a fluval canister on the tank that this happened to and I had to put a sponge pre filter on it to avoid this problem. Pam

Snail snafu

Yes, good point. I don’t think Sunny (the Snail) has been sick; she certainly was moving about and seemed happy; there did not seem to be anything unusual going on though, well, snails aren’t exactly easy to read. I think she’s in shock and at the bottom of the tank, and […]

[Worldwide Koi Club] My Koi pond Smells

You need a UV filter, it’s the only thing that will really work on a long term basis without harming fish.
