[AquaticLife] Angels and floating plants

I was going to build one like on Lenny’s blog but my hubby works with metal and has an inside hook up for getting a metal frame built, so I figured I’d wait and have something fancy but I’m sure getting impatient, LOL.

[AquaticLife] Angels and floating plants

Len,
Sorry to disagree with you here, but for my money “the very best”, quickest, and certainly the strongest, is the one you suggested from you, built by you, that is on your blog.   Anything that can disturb that stand must be at least 12 feet tall, have 6 arms and weigh a […]

[AquaticLife] Top Photos (and now Lenny’s recollection of a GREAT dive trip)

When I used to Scuba dive on frequently (back in the 80’s & 90’s), I had two “less expensive” underwater cameras. One used 110 film (shows how long it’s been since I bought that camera) and the other 35mm film… still pretty archaic by today’s standards. One of them was actually a Vivitar […]

[AquaticLife] Introduction from new member - Kim

Your math skills are right on the money! That is 40 fishalolic tanks!
I have to assume you have a system for maintenance… Do you have any plumbing added to cover the tanks for water change?

[AquaticLife] Best Aquatic Plants/ Fast Growers

With goldfish, you need hardy plants and LOTS of them so that the nipping is spread among many plants so the plants can recover and grow in between being nibbled on. [AquaticLife] Live Plants?/Swamp Monster???

LOL… the admission is only $3.00. It’s more of a novelty museum from what I saw on the website… kind of like the Alligator Farms, etc., that still line the “scenic routes” of many heavily traveled tourist roads. It’s located in Abita Springs, LA, which is an out of the way place […]

Live plants.

Like everything else in this hobby the wisest course of action is to research before you buy.
A lot of folks start out buying beautiful plants and in about two weeks end up with a home made swamp. What happened?.
What happened was the plants weren’t matched to the lighting they have. The plants needs weren’t researched
Your local […]

Antibiotic Treatment

Hmm, well I’d say that next time you should silicone them to the bottom of the tank, but then they’re not move-able at all… Perhaps you could silicone them to a flat rock?

Antibiotic Treatment

Yes, it is. I admit it.
But as I’ve said, the pH is stable near neutral, and the ammonia and nitrites always test low. This is the first plague I’ve had. And I blame it on the GROSS […]
