My only concern is how well the gold fish can swim in a faster current, i would think they’re more suited for slower moving water, so even on “slow” it may still be a little too powerful, perhaps someone has a suggestion on how to get around that?

Oops! Should have added this: - Flow Control: Simply shift the patented “Flow Adjustment Control” at the the intake siphon. When the “Flow Adjustment Control” is at its greatest blockage, AquaClear’s input and exhaust volumes are approximately a third of its maximum capacity.

Both sodium bisulfate and sodium metabisulfate were mentioned as dechlor agents and used by water supply houses to dechlorinate the water for various reasons, however one paper I looked at recommended sodium thiosulfate as the chemical of choice in an emergency, such as a water main break because it was easy to store and transport […]

Interesting. I saw sodium metabisulfate mentioned in only one other place as I was looking around the web for dechlorination agents as I had always thought it was sodium thiosulfate that was used. It appears that sodium bisulfate (note the lack of the meta prefix) and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) are used as dechlor agents, along […]

Clipped from an article that Lenny introduced in the RO thread…
“Reducing agents. Reducing agents, like sodium metabisulfite (Na2S2O5), are added to neutralize oxidizing agents such as chlorine or ozone. In membrane and ion exchange systems, they prevent the degradation of certain membranes or resins, which are sensitive to oxidizing agents. It should be noted that […]

I have mine in a 125 gallon tank and even yet they are still not that tall, but they seem to be pretty slow growing. They are only a few months old, the oldest one is 6 months old now and while larger than the 2nd angel, his fins aren’t as long […]

Angel fish (_Pterophyllum scalare_) can reach 8″ SL with a height of more than 12″ (tipoff the dorsal to tip of the anal. I must admit, however, since the angel fish plague hit, I’ve not seen a fish this large, and the various varieties of angel fish do not seem to have ever been […]
