Is your tubifex freeze dried? If it is not fresh or frozen and actually dried then you’re going to want to put the tubifex worms into water to soak for maybe 10-20 seconds until they soften up and re-hydrate again, the dried worms can cause intestinal issues with fish.

I would say that it’s just as viable as fish, as lots of people ship shrimp on aquabid. I know that Pam throws in some extras too, just in case you lose any in shipping.
