[AquaticLife] about aquarium stands

I’d probably use a single piece of wood cut to fit the stand and appropriately stained or painted, and the height of the edging, if there is one, or 1/2″ thick, to cover the top of the stand. This will help ensure that the weight of the tank is equally distributed on all edges of […]

[AquaticLife] HELP! I think I have White Spot

As far as the Ich treatment, there are many ways to attack the parasite. The salt and heat is the first thing I would try for most fish… BUT you would have to read up more about each of your fish to see how well they tolerate the salt and heat. Those three articles […]

Hello everyone, long time no see

The beginning of this email thread got cut off but I thought you had the Eheim on the 150G? I also could swear that I read you cleaned the filter media under tap water but I went back and read and you would rinse the filter cartridges of the HOB’s under tap water. […]

Got me a replacement tank for the one that was broken

Using a handful of the old gravel to help jump-start the cycle is at least worth a try, when more assured higher populations of nitrifying bacteria as are colonized with one’s filter medium are not available; it’s probably the only surface left to put hope in. But, unless this is planned for ahead of […]

[AquaticLife] Bruised gold fish -due to sucking loach attack.

If the injuries are not open sores or infected, I would just use salt or Melafix. How much salt are you adding per gallons. You could also do dips (outside of your main tank) of the injured fish in a higher concentration of salt water.
You don’t say how many gallons your “3ft tank” […]
