[AquaticLife] About “Prime”

Len,
A million thanks and I wish you had thrown this on the table about 2 weeks ago before I ordered the Prime. If you did, then I missed it. For the past 2 weeks now I have been breaking in that new machine I told you about. Anyway, as you already […]

[AquaticLife] Gourami with red sore

Do you know what caused the sore in the first place? Was it an injury from being startled and running into some decoration or something? Was the red a surface injury or did it look like the redness was forming under the skin? If it’s just a minor surface abrasion that is turning […]

[AquaticLife] salt in fresh water

Salt is not usually needed for the majority of freshwater fish. What kind of fish do you have? There is no hobbyist type Hydrometer that will measure the low levels of salt in a FW tank. SW tanks have salt levels of around 35ppT (or 35 teaspoons per gallon) where FW tanks […]

How to treat fungus.

I believe that when \Steve// reminds you that Malachite Green is a dye medication and warns you to be careful of it, he not only means to warn you that it will stain anything you happen to spill it on (including your hand) but that it can have an adverse affect on […]

A 2G would work OK for quarantining very small fish. A 10G is a nice size tank to have as an extra to use as a Q-tank or H-tank and since many meds are dispensed in 10G dosages, it also serves to make medicating the tank easier. Wal-Mart’s sell 10G tanks for around […]

[AquaticLife] Re:Ray! - Acriflavin

It’s National Fish Pharmaceuticals which is why you weren’t getting a hit to it right away. You can probably find Acriflavin in a smaller package elsewhere.

DOSAGE: 19.2 grams makes 1 pint. Five drops of this stock solution per gallon of aquarium water will treat […]

Re:Ray! - Acriflavin

Acriflavin Neutral can be purchased from the National Fish Pharmacy. If used at 5 times the dosage it is very effective and is a one dose treatment. It will cure even outbreaks of resistant strains of velvet.

Angelfish laying eggs

I agree about computers being like socks, LOL. I get computer withdrawls if mine is out of commission for awhile. As far as a comparison between Angel’s and Ram’s… My Angel’s remind me of sharks, they lay in wait for their prey, I sometimes imagine the “Jaws themesong” playing when they’re hunting for […]
