Yes….
Okay I couldn’t resist, LOL. You’re right you’re lengthy and detailed responses are MUCH better than brief LOL

They are full sized female guppy’s, I have had them for over 6 months myself and they were full grown at the LFS so I’m not sure how old they are honestly. It is possible that they could be getting ready to die of old age… None of the other fish are […]

I’m presuming this is your 125G since you mention the Angelfish and the Severum.
DO NOT MOVE THE “SICK FISH” TO ANOTHER TANK… unless you move them to a Hospital Tank… which is where you should be moving them.
How old are these guppies? I’ve seen this kind of behavior in minnow type fish (tetras, zebra […]

I figured it was a pH shock with the cold water, I’ve never tested my cold water pH, I always tested everything mixed. Apparently my cold water is very different than my tank was, but a 25% change shouldn’t have been that much of a shock, should it? I will test my […]

Zebra Danio’s are pretty easy to sex. Not sure how this works out in the Glo-Fish ZD’s. http://www.aquatic-hobbyist.com/profiles/freshwater/cyprinids/zebradanio.htm l Sexing: In mature specimens, the males are much slimmer than the females. If comparing two wild-type D. rerio of opposite sexes, the background will be more golden on a male and a paler yellow on […]

The seller offered to pick out the fatter ones for me, so that should mean that I’ll end up with at least several females LOL. I was going to get 6 females, and then hope that mine live for awhile LOL. I’m not sure how old the ones […]

I never saw them get sick, they just weren’t there one day… They don’t school with the purple passion danio’s, in fact they seem to ignore them completely. They are more active though, I think having more activity in the tank livened them up a little.

Usually, with most fish species, having two or more females for each male is the recommended starting point. Lucky fish! LOL
Are the “purple passion” danio’s schooling with the Zebra danio’s or by themselves?
There are instances where fish that grow up together from birth, either siblings or just coincidentally born at the same time, […]

Well they breed just like they play, makes sense to me LOL. So does that mean I shouldn’t worry about my male/female ratio on danio’s or should I try to get more females than males? My purple passion danio’s seem to be mostly male, but I don’t notice any aggression […]

I don’t think they pair up for life in the same sense as some other non-schooling fish. They may mate for life but they still like to be in a school whereas some other fish will pair up and then they prefer to be separate and have their own area… like your “nice” pair […]
