Algae bloom in my 55 gallon

Also I can’t get clams (freshwater at least) up here, my LFS doesn’t carry them. They also don’t carry daphnia and I haven’t found a company that will ship it here (since it takes 2 days to get stuff here, minimum).

Algae bloom in my 55 gallon

I’m really not sure what caused the algae bloom. I added about 10 fish over the coarse of 2 1/2 weeks (I didn’t add them all at once), and I added 3 new plants last week, along with 3 of those 10 fish that I added. I didn’t get an algae bloom […]

I have a UV filter, not sure what a diatom filter is . The UV filter is hooked up to the eheim on the 125 gallon tank right now. I did a 100% water change in partial water changes last night (took a long time of course, as I did one […]

[AquaticLife] About “Prime”

[AquaticLife] About “Prime”

So if the heavy metals don’t get used up or evaporate then I suppose an initial dose with prime would be what Bill wants to do for his whole tank if he has not been using anything so far. Bill have you used any dechlor products at all yet?

So blend the water? LOL. I suppose I could do that. But that would only work for 5 gallons at a time as I only have one 5 gallon bucket, would be slow going to fill the tank back up, I’ve gotten spoiled with the python LOL.
