The reason for the foam, but not spawning, was to let y’all know that the water was fairly soft = not very well buffered = able to change pH. It is important for water gardeners to know what affects their pH so that they can better judge their water quality. Yes, your pH is quite often lower first thing in the AM and higher last part of the afternoon. If it is too different, then you should check your buffering = KH/total alkalinity. If your water is too soft, the pH can swing too quickly and too dangerously.
Well, so much for another weekend. Let’s see, it’s only 10:05pm, nah, too early to leave work and go home…..
