Relocating a 60 gallon tank

I have had a 60 gallon tank in my living room for 9 months now. It is doing really well. Maturing plants and a happy community of fish - 4 large angels, 7 swordtails and 5 cories. I am considering relocating my tank to my basement. Although I love looking at the aquarium, it is by far the dominant feature in my living room. I have seating only for 4 people and I would like to put a loveseat where the aquarium now is.
Has anyone ever successfully relocated a tank before without adversely affecting the fish?
Obviously, I would have to drain the tank completely and remove all the contents. The empty tank alone weighs 110 lbs. If I bought a number of small tanks, say three 10 gallon tanks, to use as temporary housing for the fish while the move is made, would this be okay, or are fully mature angels too large for such a small tank, even temporarily, say an hour or two? They are pretty agressive now as it is, I fear that putting them in such small quarters might cause them to fight so much that one or more gets injured or is killed.
Long term, will a new “vista” for them cause them any angst? I have a smaller tank in the basement now and those fish are flourishing (4 gouramis in a 38 gallon tank). But that’s been their home for 7 months.
I haven’t decided if I am in fact going to relocate the aquarium. But if I do, I want to do it properly so that I do not traumatize the fish or worse, get a “wipeout.”
Any recommendations or suggestions?
Thanks,
Greg
