I use hang on back filters on all three of my planted tanks. I have a 29 gallong medium light with diy Co2 @ 2wpg, a 10 gallong high light whit diy Co2, and a 5.5 gallon that has 1.8wpg that I don’t do a thing to but top off and change the water every other month. Get this the plants in the tank grow the best and look thire best in this one.
If you go with a hang on back filter and decied to use Co2 just keep an eye on the water level. So ther is no splashing.
