Question, problem with my pond.
You need to keep an eye on the nitrite level as it may spike soon. It sounds to me like you do not have enough filtration and/or water flow. Also what is your KH and GH readings.
My recomendation are
1. Don’t feed for a week 2. Do 20% water changes every other day for a week 3. Keep doing the water testing and use amquel if needed. 4. tripple the amount of filtration (in gallons of filtration media) 5. increase the water flow to over 1200 gph. 6. clean out the existing filter but do not use tap water. Use pond water if you can so no chlorine contacts the media.
Most manufactures sizing of filters are way under estimated (IMHO) and I tend to tripple their numbers and then double that number. 10% to 15% of the total volume of the pond should be in filter media and that is is OK for a minimum fish load.
