pump question
Ok I have a question about pumps. Not for my pond but rather a large aquarium,(320 gallon) I am setting up. I have a wet dry filter for it and I was wondering if it would work to place the pump on top of the tank instead of in the sump? I am thinking of useing a mag 12a that I have, not sure if this pump would be able to pull the water up, that high or not from the floor to the top of the tank is about 6 feet the tank itself is 48″ tall. I am planning on running 1″ pipe PVC from the sump to the top of the tank. Ant thoughts ? Comments? thanks Mark
