[Ponds-Koi] Other pond fish compatible with Koi?
I have a pleco in my fish tank…well, I have ?THREE plecos in my fish tanks….I plan to have a similar one in my pond…It is appearing that my pond will be in my basement now… But a pleco seems to be a pretty compatable fish with nearly anything else. Recently I ran across one that was being adopted out. It was in a pretty small tank with two large koi and the pleco was at least 12 inches long. So they get big enough for a pond. They seem to keep my fish tanks pretty clean. Some people call them Algae eaters, but Plecostimus is their name really….at least I THINK so. I am really becoming more and more entheused about Koi and ponds. Because of the wild winter we JUST went through, I was talking to my friend who owns a pet shop and he has an indoor pond in his shop. I am thinking of duplicating that for my house. MAYBE a small pond with a few goldfish in the back yard. But not big enough for a good sized KOi!
