[Ponds-Koi] Foam and clear Water

You are lucky that you didn’t come home to some floating fish. That much foam could have taken away the ability for the pond to outgas CO2, nitrogenous gases, etc.
Since you have lots of babies, there’s a good chance many of them did not survive and were eaten resulting in a high protein level in your pond which is what was/is causing the foam and algae problems.
You mention that the algae has died off… did you add any chemicals to your pond? It’s not like algae to just die off and disappear in one day.
While you may not like the look of the algae, it could be saving your fish and pond. Algae is God’s way of saving our waters from us humans. Algae is a single celled plant that works just like other plants.. sucks up nutrients and CO2 and produces O2. Algae is simply a by-product of nature saying that other things are not right with your pond. It could be overstocked, you could be over-feeding, etc., etc.
Give us more details and specs on your pond, water parameters and your fish stocking level. You may need to cull some of them new babies or you could run into even more problems in the very near future.
