OT for Ray

Over the years, I have only had one problem with a Dell tech. The guy would not listen to me and treated me like I was some kind of a dummy, making me repeat all the stuff I had already done and told him about. What I did was to pretend I was running the tests, and did something else in the meanwhile, then go back to the phone to give him the results I already had.
I came to the conclusion that the guy was a newbie and insisted upon following the script because he knew very little about the machines he was required to assist others with. A lot of time could have been saved if he would have just gone down the script and filled in the appropriate blanks as I was speaking, then send me the parts I needed to perform the fix.
When I get stuck with a Tier I tech like this I try to get to the supervisor or get to a Tier II tech. If worse comes to worse, I’ll hang up and call again to get another Tier I I can deal with.
