I think due to your question I have come across a very well designed solution to our problems of temperature regulation. I have contacted the vendor and am waiting to find out what they say. But just to give you the heads up on what I found, check out this site.

I got tired of putting ice in the tank and the stress put on the fish as well as on myself- this solution if it is reasonable will be a big advancement in tank temperature regulation as it stands. I will give more info to the group as I do evaluations in my own case.
