New pond ph problem

Don’t play with the PH if your KH is up where it should be the PH will take care of itself. Highly aereating the water can even cause a high ph!
Steady is better than fluxuating. If steady is a 9 so be it. Mine is steady at 8.4 because I use baking soda to keep my KH up. One will maintain the other.
Filtration should always run. Leaving a filter off at night can allow anerobic bacteria to grow which then is dumped into the pond when it is turned back on. It also does not help the good bacteria to be maintained that is vital to the cycle of your pond filtration.
Your koi are not up and eating? Mine are up at 52-53 degrees looking for food. At the current 60 degrees they eat 2x’s day. Not a lot..(is spring EVER coming to the NW????) =:) Mine would be knocking themselves 1/2 out of the pond for food at 66 or higher.
