Need some helpful hints on sealing nozzles on reef-ready wet-dry filter

Ok, my arms simply aren’t long enough apparently to do this by simply leaning in and applying the sealant around the nozzles directly. Does anyone have a helpful hint on how to do this?
The nozzles are in the back of a 125g freshwater reef ready aquarium at the bottom of the back left tower. I have sealed it from underneath fairly well (I can reach it without a prob by going in thru the cabinet) and I think I did a fairly good job, but it’s still leaking from around the edges of the fitting.
Wet/dry filter is currently turned off and I am using two Fluval 305’s in the meantime but I really prefer the other to be on as well.
How do “ya’ll” do this?
