My Betta gets a new home

From a 2.5 gallon fish bowl, that was a pain to clean and change water, to a 3 gallon Picotope glass tank. Plan to just change a gallon a week or mabe every other. He has only been in there for a couple of hours, so I am not sure how well he is going to like it, but I love it!
Small and classy! Put blue construction paper for a background, and have black substrate with a few light blue stones mixed in. The light has a blue cast to it as well. All this really shows off the blueish spots on the sides of my red betta delta tail. Has it’s own little filter, it is just nice! Need to get some nice fake plants, and I am going to use a PVC pipe with substrate glued to it for a small shelter house.
It is only a half gallon bigger, but seems like he has much more space, and a ton more surface area. No top, just open air, but I do not use chemicals in my office, and he is not a jumper.
Heck, he looks lonely in there all by himself. What would go well in with him? Would a big snail, or the ADF excape with no top? Any other ideas? Maybe it won’t look so big when I add plants…
