Is the Sequel Kohaku far superior to its sister pump the Sequence 4200SEQ12?

I like the choice of impeller options for the Kohaku, but is the flow rate worth the $100 difference?
I am going based on 8ft head where the Kohaku is 2000 GPH and the 4200SEQ12 is only using 2/3 of its max head since it is rated at 12 ft.
