Is RO water absolutelty necessary for Discus?
I have not kept discus, but it sounds like your water is already favorable for discus so RO may not be necessary. Although I usually agree with Giancarlo’s advice, the discus keepers in my club say that discus do not do well with a slow acclimation period, they just dump them right in. Sounds strange to me, but it works for them.
Also might suggest that you consider rams instead of kribs as tankmates. They are more suited to the conditions that discus require.
